Governor Sean Parnell today issued the following statement in observance of the Fourth of July national holiday:
"Happy Independence Day. Liberty has been defined as the right to do what is right. This Fourth of July, we honor the example of our military service members, who do what is right, at great costs, for the benefit of all Americans. May their service be honored so that future generations enjoy the liberty we know.
"Sandy and I wish all Alaskans a very happy and safe Fourth of July weekend."
